Life Sustained – Frida Kahlo

$4,300.00

This painting comes with an antique frame, so this might have minor scratches due to age. This original work pays tribute to the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo with an Italo-Byzantine style during the 13th and 15th centuries. These works of art typically appeared with a gold or gold leaf colored background and with totally flat images, in other words, not three-dimensional. This work represents the extraordinary purity and tranquility in the lavender fields. The transformation of red skies announced the departure of a great artist who struggled to leave a great legacy of inspiration through her works of art with so much pain and love. The decline of Frida’s health reflected in her gaze and in her hands which held a cempasuchil flower that symbolized sustained hope of life being consumed through her hand slowly by the death.
